Corrective Surgery

Corrective surgery combines both reconstructive and cosmetic techniques in order to improve the structure, functionality and appearance of areas of the body that have been damaged due to trauma, infection, disease, abnormal development or congenital defect.

Dr. Rogers has a strong background in corrective surgery and a dynamic aptitude for treating a wide variety of injuries and deformities including burns, abnormal skin growths or structures, scars and moles, excess tissue as well as complications due to previous medical treatment.

Scar revision is perhaps the most commonly requested corrective surgery. Scars can result from accidents or prior surgeries. The complete removal of scars is not yet possible, but using the latest surgical procedures and laser treatments the appearance of scars can be greatly improved.

The options for corrective surgery are numerous and a consultation is required for each case to determine which procedures might benefit a patient.

For questions about the corrective surgery procedures that are available or to discuss your particular case please contact Leif Rogers, M.D., FACS Plastic Surgery today.
