TUG Flap

Transverse Upper Gracilis Flap

The TUG is ideal for those who do not have adequate abdominal tissues for other types of flap surgeries, but who do have excess tissue in the inner thigh. The breast will be reconstructed with the skin, fat and the tiny blood vessels taken from the inner thigh area. The reconstructed breast will look and feel much like the original breast.  In addition to reconstructing the breast, the contour of the thighs is improved with results similar to that of a thigh lift.
