Cleft Palate

Defined as an incomplete formation of the roof of the mouth and/or the upper lip, cleft lips and cleft palates are common craniofacial deformities due to birth defect. Surgical techniques for repairing these defects have become very successful for improving a patient’s ability to breath, eat, hear and speak as well as for normalizing their appearance.

If you have or your child has struggled with a cleft lip or palette, reconstructive surgery can help improve the function of the face as well as its appearance.
