Jaw Repair
The shape and structure of your jaw can impact how it looks and how it functions. Surgical repair of the jaw can be used to help improve contour and repair damage from injury, disease, aging and congenital defects and is often used to alleviate TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular Joint) and issues following the removal of wisdom teeth.
If you are struggling with clicking in the jaw, deteriorating bony structures, tumors, chipped bone areas, severe scarring or facial pain, jaw repair might be able to help. Malformed jaw structures, pronounced shape and size, or excess skin and tissue may also be treated with a jaw repair.
The procedure chosen depends on the condition of the jaw and the desired outcome. Jaw repair procedures include cleansing the joint, removing tissue adhesions, repositioning the disc in the joint hinge, inserting implants and reducing or repositioning bone and tissue.
Dr. Rogers has a strong background in reconstructive surgery and a dynamic aptitude for treating a wide variety of defects and injuries.
