Forehead Reduction

Hairline Lowering Surgery

The features of the forehead are usually judged by height and length. While varying points of the frontal hairline are common with men, women with excessively high or long foreheads can tend to look more masculine. Some people who are self-conscious about the size of their forehead and/or the position of their hairline often attempt to mask it with certain hairstyles. A better and more permanent option is forehead reduction or hairline lowering surgery.

Forehead reduction can be achieved with one of two options; a portion of the forehead skin can be removed, thereby lowering the hairline or hair and skin can be grafted to the head at the current hairline – for certain cases a combination of the two procedures is used.

If you are struggling with a forehead that seems out of proportion to the other features of your face, forehead reduction surgery may be the answer.

Forehead reduction surgery can be used to reduce a high hairline or large forehead in both men and women and can be performed at the same time as an eyebrow lift or other procedures for evening out the proportions of the face.
