Dysport® facial injections reduce wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet.
When we move our facial muscles by laughing, smiling, or frowning, they contract. Over time, the contractions cause folds and wrinkles in the face, particularly near the eyes, forehead and eyebrows, and mouth. Dysport® facial injections reduce wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet. One treatment can smooth wrinkles, diminish lines, and give you a more youthful appearance.
Similar to Botox®, Dysport® paralyzes the facial muscles, causing a reduction in facial movement and activity. The difference between Botox® and Dysport® is in the units of measurements. Dysport® also has a slightly quicker onset and a slightly wider diffusion area. This is an advantage in some areas of the face.
What to Expect
Dysport® is administered through an injection to the treatment site. It takes just a few minutes and there is no downtime or recovery time. Patients can immediately return to work or other normal activities. You may experience some slight bruising, but this typically subsides in a few days. You will begin to see results in a day or two and they will last 4-6 months. Repeated Dysport® injections are necessary to maintain results, but you may find that you need fewer injections over time as the muscles weaken.
