Should I Consider a Brow Lift?

In addition, we recommend that you be in good overall health and have no medical conditions that could interfere with healing. The Day of Your Brow Lift Procedure

Anesthesia Options

The choice of anesthesia for a brow lift or browpexy procedure will depend on several factors. In general, a brow lift or browpexy may be performed using local anesthesia with sedation, IV sedation, or general anesthesia. Dr. Rogers will work with you to determine which option is ideal for you during your in-person consultation.

Procedure Length

The length of your procedure will depend on the specific technique used. Most brow lifts take between one and three hours to complete, while browpexy is typically a shorter procedure that may take less than an hour. You’ll receive details describing your procedure well in advance of the actual day of your surgery.

Surgical Technique

This is typically done by making incisions in the hairline and repositioning the skin and underlying tissue. A brow lift can be performed using different techniques, such as endoscopic, coronal, and temporal. This procedure can help to reduce wrinkles and frown lines, improve the appearance of sagging eyebrows, and create a more open and alert look.

Outpatient Procedure

Brow lift and mastopexy surgeries are performed as an outpatient procedure, which means you’ll get to head back home and begin the recovery process in the comfort of your own living space. It’s worth noting, however, that you will need a friend to drive you home, as the anesthesia will still be wearing off.

Most patients can return to work and normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks after surgery. Still, it’s important to note that every patient is different, and your surgical plan will be tailored to your unique physical characteristics and personal cosmetic goals. It generally takes several weeks for all of the swelling to resolve and for your final results to become fully visible.
