Voluma For Jawline Structure

Juvéderm Voluma® XC is designed to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks, which can result from the natural aging process or weight loss. It can also be used to enhance the cheekbones and create a more youthful and lifted appearance. The “XC” in the product name indicates it contains a small amount of lidocaine, a local anesthetic that can help reduce discomfort during the injection.

Who Qualifies for Juvéderm Voluma® XC?

Individuals who are experiencing volume loss in the cheeks, hollow or sunken areas in the mid-face region, or are seeking to enhance the appearance of their cheekbones may be candidates for Juvéderm Voluma® XC.

To qualify for the treatment, you should be in good health and have realistic expectations for the procedure's results. You should also be willing to follow any pre- and post-treatment care instructions provided by your healthcare provider to ensure optimal results and minimize any discomfort or side effects.  The procedure may not be suitable for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a history of severe allergies or anaphylaxis, or are currently taking blood-thinning medications. Your healthcare provider can help determine if Juvéderm Voluma® XC is right for you based on your individual medical history and treatment goals.

What to Expect?

Before receiving Juvéderm Voluma® XC injections, you will typically have a consultation with a qualified healthcare provider to discuss your treatment goals and determine if the procedure is right for you. During the consultation, your healthcare provider will evaluate your skin, review your medical history, and discuss any medications or supplements you are currently taking. You may be advised to avoid certain medications or supplements, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E, for a few days before the procedure to minimize the risk of bleeding or bruising. You may also be advised to avoid alcohol for a few days before the procedure. On the day of the procedure, your healthcare provider will clean the treatment area and may apply a topical anesthetic to help minimize any discomfort during the injections.
